New Qube Classrooms

At the end of  the summer term, work began on a new classroom block (The Qube) to replace the portacabins. The woodland area and space where the portacabins stood has been used very effectively, allowing enough room for four large classrooms to be built.

The children have loved this new learning environment. The exterior is clad in wood and blends in very sympathetically to the woodland that surrounds it. The interior is very spacious and modern with ergonomically designed classroom furniture supplied by Envoplan. This new space fully embraces new technology, the layout of the space is such that the children have more freedom to choose how they work. There are spaces for collaborative learning, and private zones for focussed working.

The design includes bright colours and modern items of furniture and there are a range of different working spaces, including; Railway Carriages (a small meeting booth), Teaching Wall with state of the art presentation technology, flexible and reconfigurable furniture, soft seating and quiet zones.

This varied and inspirational new space will offer the children and teachers a richer and more dynamic learning experience.
