Beaudesert Park Takes on Jerusalema
Inspired by our fantastic Librarian Mrs Abendanon, the whole school community has come together to perform the dance craze that sweeped South Africa this summer; Jerusalema!
This catchy song and dance routine has been performed by hundreds of schools across South Africa and more recently by UK preparatory schools. The dance challenge is a socially distant routine, usually performed outside, that is meant to spread hope and joy during the coronavirus pandemic. Every year group throughout the School plus our teachers, catering staff, administration staff, bus drivers and our peripatetic teachers got involved in the challenge, which was filmed in groups over a number of weeks. Even our Headmaster is spotted dancing on the roof of the Performing Arts Centre!
Mrs Crosbee, Head of Drama, said; “We organised this event in the hope of bringing the community together at a time when we can feel very distant from each other. We had so much fun dancing together and we hope we can pass this energy on.”
