Accounts Assistant (Payroll and Billing)

From mid June

A great opportunity is now available for a suitably qualified and experienced Accounts Assistant to support the daily functioning of the school. The role is for circa 30 hours per week and there is some flexibility regarding actual days/hours worked.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Monthly payroll
  • School fee billing
  • Administration of Swimming Pool hire
  • Other ad hoc support including cover for the Purchase Ledger function and school trip administration.

We seek applicants with good accounting skills, who have recent experience of operating payroll and billing systems, preferably within a school environment. Knowledge of the Independent School sector and of WCBS PASS accounting software would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills, high levels of accuracy, the ability to meet fixed deadlines and strong communication skills.

In return we offer:

  • A competitive salary ranging from £29,000 to £33,500 according to experience (pro-rata for 30 hours).
  • 6 weeks paid annual holiday (pro-rata) plus statutory holidays and a week’s ‘shutdown’ at Christmas.
