Inspired by National Kindness Week, our Assistant Head of Pastoral Mr Robinson recently asked some of the Prep school children if they would like to take part in an innovative project designed to encourage direct acts of kindness.  Happily, a number of children volunteered, and then, with a small budget to work with, and parents in support roles, either worked on their own or got together in little groups to plan and put into action their acts of kindness.  The #thekindnessproject results were impressive and heart-warming. To name just a few, they included two Year 5 girls making food for a neighbour who has recently taken on the role of full-time carer for his wife, a Year 6 pupil making ‘you’re a star’ biscuits then delivering and distributing them to the well-deserving nursing staff at Cirencester Hospital, and two Year 5 boys taking flowers to brighten the rooms of the residents of Ilsom House Care Home in Tetbury.
